I like to keep things simple. I'm a man of few words and most of them are pretty short! I love listening to coaches and trainers waffle on (usually in an attempt to prove their expertise and knowledge) and I often wonder, do they really know what they are talking about?
More often than not I reckon they're pretty clueless and are just regurgitating the pages of a text book.
If you want to educate your athletes/clients then you need to keep is simple and straight to the point. Coaching is not an opportunity to show people what a smart arse you are. It's not big and it's not clever.
