If You Hear, Do You Remember?

I recently attended the UKSCA tutor training course. We were discussing how much information we actually take in during workshops and seminars and the facilitator shared this with the group: 

We hear 50% of what was said... 

We actually listen to 50% of what was heard... 

We only understand 50% of what we listened to... 

We only believe 50% of what we understood... 

We only remember 50% of what we believed... 

So we only actually remember 3% of the information that is given to us during workshops and seminars (this must have been the 3% that I remembered!!!). 

 Worth remembering when you are coaching and presenting.
