What Are Your Training Principles?

Another quick thought for today. It is very easy to jump from one training method to another, one week you are the kettlebells guy, the next week you are the bands and chains guy and then the week after that you are the jazz hands cardio funk guy! (OK, I'm getting a bit carried away with that one)

This quote sums up for me what is really important as a coach.

"As to methods there may be a million and then some, but principles are few. The man who grasps principles can successfully select his own methods. The man who tries methods, ignoring principles, is sure to fail" - Ralph Waldo Emerson

There is nothing wrong with using a variety of training METHOD's, we need different tools in our toolbox, but regardless of the training METHOD, we should stick to our training PRINCIPLES that from the foundation of everything we do as coaches.
