Being confident is a good thing but make sure you maintain humility. Walking around thinking that your shit doesn't stink invariably leads to trouble.

In the past, I expected the athletes I worked with to maintain a rigorous training programme during the festive period. You see, I grew up on a diet of BS and soundbites from my sporting heroes and the media telling me that every great athlete trained on Christmas Day and didn't take days off. I hope those athletes ignored my programme, put their feet up and enjoyed some downtime with friends and family, returning from their break, refreshed and ready to go again.
